The companies that help run Kithful

Like most apps, Kithful relies on a few outside companies for jobs like hosting, email and payments. Here is every one that handles any of your family’s information, and what it does. The Privacy Policy has the full picture.

Companies that handle your family’s information

• Railway: hosts the app and stores what your household saves.
• Cloudflare: network, security and our encrypted backups.
• Google and Anthropic: read the photos and text you choose to scan. Their paid services don’t train AI on it, and we don’t keep your scanned photos.
• Brevo: sends our emails, so it sees your email address and the message.
• Stripe: handles payments, only if you subscribe. Your card never reaches us.
• Sentry: tells us when something breaks. Reports leave out names, email addresses and anything you typed.
• Google or Apple sign-in: only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Apple, Google or Mozilla: deliver reminders to your phone or browser, only if you turn them on. They can’t read them.

Everything else learns nothing about you

Store prices, weekly ads and product details come from public sources. They never receive your name, your email or your family’s details. Some pictures in a weekly ad load straight from where the ad is published, which sees your device’s internet address, as any website would.

What we don’t use

• No ad networks, and no ads in the app.
• No Google Analytics, no Facebook or Meta tracking pixel.
• We don’t sell your information to anyone.
