These Terms are an agreement between you and Kithful. By creating an account or using Kithful, you agree to them. Please read them — especially the section on AI accuracy.
Kithful is a household organization app: it reads photos (receipts, flyers, coupons, schedules, warranties, products, recipes) and text into structured records, and helps you track groceries, deals, coupons, schedules, chores, meals, and more.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account, including anyone you invite to your household. Keep your password secure and let us know of any unauthorized use.
Kithful uses automated AI to read your photos and text, and it can be wrong. Extracted prices, dates, expiration estimates, coupon values, quantities, and other details are best-effort estimates, not guarantees. You are shown extracted information to review before it is saved, and you are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it — for example, confirming a price, a coupon's terms, an appointment date, or a food's actual expiration. Deal, flyer, and price information from third parties may be delayed, incomplete, expired, or inaccurate. Do not rely on Kithful for decisions where an error could cause harm; always check the original source.
You keep ownership of the content you add. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to operate the service for you (including sending it to the AI and other providers described in our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the content you enter, including information about other people, and you represent that you have the right to provide it.
Recipes you share with everyone. If you choose “Share this recipe with every Kithful family” for a recipe you typed or scanned, you confirm it is your own family recipe (not copied from a cookbook, website, package or video). For a recipe you saved from a website, sharing asks Kithful to rewrite its steps in Kithful’s own words (the ingredients and amounts stay the same), and credit and link to the site; the site’s own photo is never shared. Every shared recipe includes a photo of the dish, and you confirm you made the dish and took that photo yourself. Before it is shared we remove the photo’s hidden details (such as location and phone model). Either way you give Kithful a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to show the shared recipe and its photo to all Kithful users, and to edit the recipe for clarity and food safety. We review it before it appears and may leave the photo out. It is never credited with your name. It stays in the catalog, with its photo, if you later delete your household; email us and we’ll take it down. If you think a shared recipe copies your work, email us and we’ll review it and take it down.
If you enter information about your children, you do so as their parent or guardian and you are responsible for that information. See the "Children" section of our Privacy Policy.
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to breach security or access other households' data, no automated scraping or overloading the service, and no uploading of content you don't have the right to use.
Kithful relies on third-party services and data (listed in the Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for those services, and information they provide (such as store deals and prices) is provided "as is."
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kithful and [LEGAL ENTITY] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or savings, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kithful and [LEGAL ENTITY] from claims arising out of your content or your misuse of the service.
You may stop using the service and delete your household at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the service or other users.
Free. Every feature of Kithful is available at no charge. The free plan includes a monthly allowance of photo/PDF scans (currently 30 a month; one upload counts as one scan). Typing entries and pasting text are not limited. Reaching the allowance doesn't lock or remove anything; the allowance resets on the 1st of each month.
Kithful Plus removes the monthly scan limit for your whole household. It is a subscription billed monthly or yearly, in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe, and it renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. "Unlimited" is subject to fair use: a daily ceiling protects the service from automated abuse.
Free trial. New households receive a 14-day Plus trial. No payment information is required, and the trial simply ends — you are never charged for it. Each email address gets one trial: if you delete your household and sign up again with the same address, the new household starts on Free (you can still choose Plus).
Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & scans (or from the billing link in your receipt). Plus then stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and is not renewed. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, but if something went wrong, email us and we'll make it right. Cancelling or deleting your household never charges you again; deleting your household cancels its subscription.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number. We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice by email; a price change never applies to a period you've already paid for.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. [Confirm jurisdiction/venue with counsel.]
We may update these Terms; we'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
